Bd Air Force: History of BAF
The Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) started in British India in the 1920s. Indian politicians demanded the introduction of local men into the Royal Air Force, as some members of the Royal Indian Air Force gained fame and prestige in the First World War. This demand finally took shape when the Indian Air Force was established on 8 October 1932. However, the Royal Air Force made little headway on him until 1939. Even during World War II, there were no training opportunities in then subcontinental Bangladesh. However, airports were hastily built in several other locations, including Comilla, Feni, Patenga and Cox’s Bazar. The only recruitment center in the region was at Narayanganj.
In 1951-1952, Pakistan’s first new fighter squadron was formed. From 1969 he was headed by Abdul Rahim Khan, who became Pakistan Air Force Secretary from 1971. His Flight Lieutenant Toab, his PAF/AF officer in Bengal, was the flight commander of that squadron for which he later became the Air Force Secretary of independent Bangladesh in 1975. Among the Bengali pilots, Flying His Officer Alam died in his 1956 plane crash. He left his then-Flying Officer A.K. Kandkar, who later played a glorious role in the historic Liberation War. He was not only the deputy commander of the Bangladesh side in the liberation war. He also represented Bangladesh in the surrender of occupying forces on December 16, 1971 at the Racecourse Maidan (now Surawaddy Park). It is worth noting that AK Khandkar became the first Air Force Secretary of the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF).
History of BAF After From 1947 to 1971
From 1947 to 1971, the people of Bengal had to fight countless lives. The then Pakistani Air Force (PAF) Bengal officer had a name, a sacrifice. During the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965, Shahid (Martyr) Company Commander Alam, Twab Air Wing Commander, Lt. Saiful Azam and many others witnessed the victories achieved by Lt. brought much glory to Ace fighter pilot. He has had success in dogfighting in three different countries during actual combat and He became the only fighter pilot in the world to have received state titles from three different countries. He proved his worth and was allowed to command a fighter squadron of the Pakistan Air Force as a lieutenant, which was supposed to be commanded by an Air Chief.
These officers were some of the finest aviators. One of them was Shahid (martyr) Sergeant Zahrulhok. He is a Ground Combat Instructor (GCI) and is well known for his training. Even such an aviator expressed his concern for his homeland. He was accused of the historic “Agartala Conspiracy”. This is clearly a historical conspiracy to liberate the country. He died of his injuries on February 15, 1969 after continued torture. The Bangladesh Air Force recognized the contribution of this great airman by naming his significant BAF base (BAF Ghati Zahurul Haq) after him. That recognition goes beyond the scope of BAF, as even a dormitory at the University of Dhaka is named after him.
History of BAF After Liberation War 1971
The glorious Liberation War took place in his 1971. Driven by patriotic fervor, many Bengali officers and airmen, including engineers, quit their previous jobs and joined the liberation war to hasten victory. This was made possible thanks to the integrity of those who founded the Liberation War Wing in Dimapur, Nagaland, India, on September 28, 1971. The wing only had a short inventory of one DC-3 aircraft, one Otter aircraft, and one Alouette helicopter. The fledgling Bangladesh Air Force’s patriotic pilots and engineers operated a squadron called ‘Kilo-Flights’ under the competent guidance of Squadron Commander Sultan Mahmud and who later became Air Force Deputy Marshal and Air Squadron Commander. Organized. However, the historic ‘Kilo His Flight’ pilot successfully carried out airstrikes against several targets in Chittagong and Narayanganj.
During the Liberation War, Lieutenant Matiul Rahman, another great son of Daichi, sacrificed his life for his homeland. His sacrifice was not a common one, as it would be difficult for a man in his family to risk his life. It was no fluke. He not only sacrificed his life, but also the happiness of his family life. While fleeing Pakistan in his T-33 aircraft to take part in the glorious war of liberation, he died in Thatta, a few kilometers from the Indian border, where his plane crashed. His heroic efforts were rewarded by both the BAF and the nation. The BAF’s most important officer training base at Jessore was named after him (BAF Base Matiur Rahman) and apart from this great man the country gave him the highest provincial title “Bir Shrestha.” ” was awarded.
